Lost Fort Worth Pictures

I took this picture with my cell phone while eating at Kincaids after we went to the zoo.
I forgot I brought my old camera the day we went to the museums! I came across these pictures full of fun memories so I thought I'd share.

Hana got to ride a (fake) horse and round up cattle.
The (fake) cow in the back of this truck was confusing for her, but she was very excited by the truck's lights flashing and engine sounds.
Now this was fascinating. They had an actual piece of a B-29 communication tunnel.
All the kids were lined up to "slide" though it so, of course, Hana could not be left out. There was a girl ahead of us in line who was Hana's age or older and she tried to go through herself, but ended up needing her mom to go with her because she wasn't able to pull herself through. Just like the crew did in WW II, you had to lay on your back and use your arms to pull yourself through using the rope over head. After seeing the young girl need assistance, I began telling Hana that she would probably need to go through with me, which did not please her. Miss Independent needed to do this on her own, so I assured her she could at the very least try but warned her not to get upset if she needed help. Then Geegaw offered to go through with her in place of me if she liked, but she was still determined to do it alone. She laid down and I got the camera out, ready to take pictures of her "trying," and, well, see for yourself:
She was gone! I didn't even have time to take a picture! So much for needing help! I'm slowly learning that I should never under estimate what she can do. And she was so proud of herself!

Here are some other interesting things we saw and did.
Hana did a little shopping in the (fake) supermarket. While other kids were filling up their shopping carts with groceries:
Hana had fun filling hers up with baskets. I guess she thought she was a Hobby Lobby. LOL!

Good Times (Our last night in Clearwater)

A little dancing at Pier 60
A little drinking at Frenchy's while we waited for a table.
As you can see, Joe put on his best shirt for a night on the town.
A margarita and a grouper nugget. Apparently it doesn't get much better than that for Joe.
Hana swept the beach while we watched the sun set.
The moment they'd been waiting for...
We walked 2 miles and waited 1 1/2 hours for crab soup. LOL! Was it worth it? Well, maybe not in flavor, but the memories and good times we shared definitely were.
Looking back, the above picture should have been my first indication that Hana was not feeling well. She was asleep before we placed our order! (It was also after 9:00 pm) It looks as though Josh might have dozed off a little too...

What a wonderful, memorable vacation. I cannot wait 'til the next one! Who's coming with me?

The Man Who Summons Aliens at Pier 60

We didn't really know what was happening at the time we took this picture while at Pier 60 in Clearwater Beach. We just knew that this man was walking around with this contraption making strange sounds. For a tip, we were able to snap our picture with him. I thought he was pretending to be an alien. Well, in all honestly, I thought he thought he was an alien. After a little research (I Googled him) I learned that he is supposedly summoning aliens and has been doing so at Pier 60 for years now. Apparently his name is Steve and he is autistic and a Christian. I don't know what any of these things have to do with the other, but I thought I'd share. Party on, Steve! (If that's really your name...)

Breakfast with Big Bird

See that big bird?
He decided to have breakfast with us and this pretty little girl while we were in Clearwater.
 Big birds like the ocean.
See this sausage?
Apparently big birds like sausage too.
See the sausage lodged in big bird's throat?
He landed on our table and helped himself to a whole sausage.
Could someone please get him a mimosa?
It sure looks like he needs a drink!
I could use another mimosa, too. Thanks!

Clearwater Day 2: More fun!

Breakfast on the balcony.
Hana spies a pirate ship in the distance!
Hana followed her new friends, Scarlet and Michael, into the pool and basically learned to swim. The only help she needs is her arm floaties. I bet they come off this summer!
I got carded when I bought this strawberry daquari in a coconut monkey head!
IN YOUR FACE DIRTY 30!  HAHAHAHAHA!
I've seen a lot of sunsets, but the ones in Clearwater were mesmerizing!
