Annabelle

With everything that has been going on with my leg & the holidays, I didn't blog as much as I should have. I definitely didn't share as much of Annabelle's elfcapades as I should have. So I thought I would now. Here's what she did her last few nights here.

One night she made reindeer food for us to sprinkle on the lawn Christmas Eve night. (but we forgot!)

On Christmas Eve morning Hana found this letter from her

and later she discovered her nose had been painted red while she was asleep!

Frankenfoot, Glory Hole, Meatpacker

Frankenfoot Update: A lump formed beside my incision. I had my stiches removed Thursday. Thursday night, said lump forced incision open. Went to specialist Friday & they scooped out my leg. Literally. The lump was a giant hematoma, I was sent to have a sono done on leg to check for other blood clots; none found. Leg is packed with gauze, I'm taking 2 antibiotics and plenty of pain medicine, which I learned yesterday I still really need to be taking. I guess I like to torture myself. I'm stuck laying down with my foot elevated until further notice. Did I mention it's 2 weeks before Christmas? Frankenfoot is now the Glory Hole and Joe's nickname is Meatpacker. I'll let you figure that out on your own. Since I don't really care to sit around and blog about the goings on of the Glory Hole, I'll share this cute picture of Annabelle & Hello Kitty playing tic tac toe:

We woke up one morning and Annabelle had left out a cup of Christmas marshmallows, a cup of blue sprinkles and instructions. Hana was supposed to "plant" the sprinkles in the marshmallows and then water lightly.

We thought it sounded super crazy, so we read it again.

Yep, that's what she wanted us to do, but the note said something sweet would bloom, so we thought it was worth a shot. We did as instructed and the next morning...

One morning Hana came downstairs to find Annabelle watching cartoons in daddy's chair!

Decorating the tree

I take Hana to the store every year to pick an ornament. This year she picked a Cinderella one.

We had a blast decorating the tree with Christmas tunes blaring. Just the way I like it! I figure Hana will have every Christmas song memorized by January.

Looks like Annabelle tried to help over night and accidentally broke one of the ornaments!

Annabelle: The 1st Night

Annabelle came home with us on Thanksgiving and poor little Hana was tuckered out. She fell asleep in the car and was put straight to bed so I took care of Annabelle that first night. I set out crackers and a cup of water, sprinkled the snowflakes on her head and the next morning Hana came downstairs to find this:

I guess Annabelle got acquainted with her new friends!

Elf Magic!

Meet Annabelle.

She's an elf sent by Santa to watch over Hana, report to back to him and bring fun and a little mischief into our lives. She mysteriously showed up at Jenn's house on Thanksgiving looking for Hana. We are taking very good care of her and look forward to what she'll do next. Every night we feed her her favorite snack, crackers and water and then we sprinkle snowflakes on her and once we're asleep she...well, you'll have to wait and see! She's a handful!
