Sweet N Sassy

As I mentioned in the previous post, Hana and I did a little running around with Jenno yesterday. Since it was Earth Day, she donned her "I love my planet" shirt.

Although, all the "Eath Day" talk seemed to lead to birthday talk. So before we left the house to meet Jenno we had a birthday party. I was gathering things up to head out the door and here came Hana into the kitchen carrying a coaster in each hand and singing "Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!" She brought the coasters, aka cupcakes, to the table and put each one in front of a chair. She then told me to sit down and eat my birthday cupcake. So I did.

We met up with Jenno, took care of our first task and then we headed to get Hana's hair cut. We tried out a new place that we ended up loving. It's called Sweet N Sassy. It was a much more pleasurable experience than the last time. We'll go back to Sweet N Sassy from now on for sure. Hana is still talking about how "Heather made her hair pretty." LOL The last time we left with an awkward ponytail atop Hana's head with instructions to just wear a ponytail all the time in order to let that hair grow out so she wouldn't have "all those bangs." Yeah, clearly that did not settle well with me. =)

The wonderfully chipper and full-of-knowledge Heather not only did a great job cutting Hana's hair, she also gave her more bangs and made it so that we don't have to wear a ponytail all the time. I mean, have you ever tried to force a two-year-old to wear a ponytail when they don't won't to? It's not fun. Then, when said two-year-old wins and the ponytail comes out, she would constantly fight the hair hanging in her eyes. No thanks!

As I was saying, Miss Heather did an awesome job on the cut, but the fun did not stop there. Hana also got her hair styled (the sides were twisted back and pinned). Then she was asked what she would like to smell like and was given several choices. We picked "cupcake" and then Hana's hair was sprayed with a cupcake scent. And that's not all. Her hair was sprayed with glitter and she also got glittery star-shaped stamps on both cheeks. Oh, wait! That's still not all! Then she got to pick out a really pretty lollipop. She went for a yellow flower-shaped one as opposed to the pink one she talked about for half the hair cut. LOL

You're thinking I must have paid an arm and a leg for this hair cut aren't you? Would you believe me if I told you that I paid significantly less for this one that I did the last? It was only $14.95!!! (I paid 19.95 for the last flop.) I was super stoked and so was Hana Grace.

I was a bad mother and did not get a good pic of her super cute hair when it was all finished, but here is her hair last night after her bath:

And now for the side view:
And now I know why they call the place Sweet N Sassy. Doesn't she just radiate sweetness and sass?!
