Hana had a hair appointment at 10:00 yesterday morning.
She was "super excited" to get her hair cut!
It was a really cool place. They even had TVs for the kids to watch while they got their hair cut. Hana got to pick which movie she would like to watch. Of course she picked one featuring Dora and Boots!
The place was really neat and the employees were super friendly and great with kids, however, I was not all that impressed with the stylist we got. It appeared to be her first day as she couldn't find a decent cape for Hana to wear, she didn't know how to work the TV, she didn't know where the scissors were or even where a plug was that she could plug the blow dryer into. She didn't really even seem to know what to do with Hana's hair. Good thing I came prepared with a picture of what I wanted ('cause I'm anal like that) 'cause I've had bad hair cut experiences myself and always come prepared.

Hana's hair grows straight forward in the front so she's all bangs and I was asking for a suggestion on what to do about that. Her professional idea? Put a ponytail atop her head! Yep. That's how we arrived home. Hana had a ponytail on top of her head! The lady just didn't know what else to do with it and said it just needs to grow. Okay. Thanks for that sage advice. And even more, her hair had dried weird on one side and Hana had this wing-like Farrah look. The stylist just gooped a bunch of gel on it and tried to make it lay down, which it did not do. I meant to take a picture, but at the time I was kind of seeing red (But still wearing a smile for my daughter. There was no way I was going to turn this into a bad experience for her), so the photo op did not happen.
Once we arrived back home Mommy had a chance to play with it and, well, I think it turned out just precious!
Thankfully we do wear lots of ponytails on top of the head as well as pretty barrettes because the hair on top was not cut so when it falls down and mixes with her "new bangs," it just looks like her bangs are uneven because those hairs are longer. We'll just stick with ponytails and barrettes until her hair (hopefully) decides to not be so stubborn and we can get it trained to lay another way.

I just love how it looks from the back!
It's not exactly what I had in mind, but it's about as close as you can get without being it. Besides, Hana would look beautiful no matter what her hair looks like! =) She really enjoyed the experience and is very proud of her new hair cut. She says, "The lady washed my hair and dried my hair and made it all better!" No more uneven Mommy/Daddy hair cuts for this little girl!

I think it looks really good!
How rude of that woman to even take a call! Wait till neeny gets ahold of her!
That awesome, your hair looks great Hana, and Mommy you were good too...you showed great patience and restraint. Good Day for everyone...
I feel the need to let you know that I played nice at the salon, but when I got into the car, I exploded. I had to call Jenno to vent and unfortunately Hana witnessed it. I am not perfect and Hana does get to see my temper more than I would like. But, hey, that's reality right? ;-)
