Well, tomorrow is the day. My baby girl starts preschool tomorrow...per her request. She has been counting down the days for months now. No lie. My heart is so very sad yet so very proud all at the same time. It's a roller coaster of emotions for me. I'm going to miss my running buddy, but it will be nice to get the grocery shopping done without all the potty breaks, tantrums and desperately trying to find something new to occupy her. I just cannot believe we're here already. My plan was to have another one to occupy me when this time came, but I can plan all I want, right? If I had my way, I'd keep her home a while longer, but she's been asking to go to school for a while now. Every day she says, "I can't believe I'm big enough to go to school!" I can't either. I want to encourage her desire to learn, mingle and be independent so this is the first of many big steps. I hope she continues to welcome every new endeavor with wide open arms and a smile across her face. In a couple weeks, this will all feel normal. I hope. So anyway, we're getting ready for the big day. We have a gift for her teacher:
She got a new pair of shoes:
A new skirt
and some new shorts.
They're super blingy.
Last week Jenno got her a couple new shirts that were thrown into the mix of "new school clothes." She has her outfit all picked out and later we'll make her lunch and continue counting down the hours. Sigh.
It's only two days a week from 9-2. With the way I'm acting you'd think I signed her up full time, huh?
