Hot Air Balloons & Hail

We woke up at 5:00 am and were at the local Hot Air Balloon Festival by 6:00 am. We hoped to watch the balloons glow at 6:30. Apparently they had decided the night before that, due to the chance of rain, they were not going to do that, but they didn't let anyone know. So we waited.
We played peek-a-boo.
We made friends.
They announced the glow would not take place but there was hope they would take off at the scheduled time of 7:15 am. So we waited longer and made more friends.
They did not take off but they aired several up.
We got to go down to the field and see it all up close.
Hana got a turn in a basket.
I did not catch it with the camera, but as soon as Hana got in the basket, she immediately reached up and pulled the trigger to make fire. Then she got to do it again with the lady's help, as intended.
And then it was time to play!
There's always a chance for a photoshoot with this little munchkin.
More play time!
She shocked me by only climbing halfway up the wall.
Maybe the way to get down was more appealing than climbing up.
She got her very own hot air balloon to take home.
And that night...

That looked like alot of fun, I am so sorry you didn't get to see them take off. Lots of effort was made to see the balloons, hopefully next year will be different. You know I have never gone to see the balloon festival, I should try it. Since I live so close we usually watch them when we wake up in the morning.
