ME: Wow, Hana! You are doing a fantastic job coloring that bird! Who taught you how to do that?
(I totally expected her to give me an all-knowing smile and say, "You did, Momma!" But instead...)
HANA: Uncle Josh.
ME: (Puzzled. I've been working with her and coloring with her for what, three years now?)
Oh, yea? When did he teach you how to color?
HANA: We were at a restaurant and I was coloring on the kids menu. He showed me how to color slow and fill in all the white spots and don't go outside the line like this (she scribbled a little outside the line to show me).

I know mommy and daddys are really important in a childs life, but it's the rest of the family that fill in the other spots.
Hence, "it take a village to raise a child".
Awe, I almost teared up at how cute she remembered her Uncle Josh and what he taught her about coloring...It doesn't get any better than that...xxxooo
I know first hand how children forget what roll parents do in their lives.Outsiders play a large part in anyones life.Children or adults.
We are going to miss Josh and Sprinkles! Maybe you can get some credit while they are in Louisiana?
