The Sanders Wine Mixer

It's no secret that my family loves to get together and make memories any chance we get. So Saturday we headed to the lake to attend the Sanders Wine Mixer, aka Memorial Day BBQ. Brad had been teasing Hana and telling her she couldn't go to the BBQ, so when it came time to pack she made sure she wouldn't be left behind!
With the temperature already nearing 100 degrees here in Texas, I bought what I thought was going to be a really cool swimming pool for the kids to play in. Once blown up, the pool was immediately deemed unworthy and Dian (Ernie) and Nana rushed out to buy this monster of a pool.

If this is what they had in mind, then yes, the first pool was totally unworthy! LOL The original pool had a little slide that went with it, but it sure didn't go to waste.

Jennifer (Jenno) got in touch with her inner Bakerella and created these yummy slider cupcakes.
Not only were they adorable, they were crazy good too!

It wasn't long before Hana Grace was in the pool.
Later that day, Angela, Karlee, Baylee and I joined her. But in the meantime, Josh and I were picture-taking fools! LOL
Joe bit off a little more than he could chew and (finally) became an egghead himself after cracking eggs on Dylan's head. Sorry, Joe! Paybacks are hell! LOL
Hana really enojoyed getting to see Brad...or as she calls him "Bwad."

Ashley and her family brought their new and absolutely precious puppy with them. I SO have dog envy! It's a Boxer/Mastiff mix. I purposely kept my distance for fear that my inner dog lover might be summoned. The last thing we need right now is a puppy and Joe and I do have a soft spot for the ginormous ones!
Hana finally got to meet Lauren! They were born only a couple weeks apart and have seen lots of pictures of one another, but had never had the chance to meet.

The next morning, Hana's Daddy and her Uncle Josh took her out on Geegaw's boat.

No one was sure how she would react being on the boat, but...

It seems she really enjoyed herself!

Then we headed back over to Dian's house for more family fun. This time the guys joined Hana in the pool.
Later that night while we played games, Hana entertained Nana.
She even pretended the step stool was a boat to drive.

And as always, Hana enjoyed playing with Mr.Guthrie.

What a wonderful weekend!

What a wonderful weekend we had. I truly enjoyed every minute, cant wait till this next weekend when Hana comes down again. What fun. We took the pool down and me and neeny are going to plan a weekend just for us old people and set it up and get us some drinks in line and see how long it takes to cook ourselves. Probably not long at all, I will have to have a hat on fer sure, and plenty of sunblock for both of us old women. lol Sure had a good time and enjoyed everyone who came.

I am glad everyone had a great weekend. Strange, we were in seven points ourselves, Shirshank and I...funny how we didn't run into the guy on Cedar Creek Lake, we went fishing all day Saturday and early 6AM Sunday...it was awesome, caught about 20 cats..
