Cheaper To Get Pregnant?

I just returned from Walgreen's where I picked up my new prescription of birth control. Since I nursed Hana Grace for 12 months I was taking what they call a mini pill, which is birth control minus all the crazy hormones. It's also not as effective as a regular pill. My doc recently wrote me a prescription for Loestrin, a full-strength pill, and he also gave me a sample to take for a month. Since I will take the last of the sample pack this weekend I went ahead and filled the prescription today. I dropped it off this morning and Hana and I did some running around. After a trip to Big Lots where I finally purchased a watering can and bought the baby girl a Hana-sized one, we headed to the grocery store for a few things and then back to Walgreen's. The nice lady at the drive-thru window informed me that they had filled 3 months worth and I told her that was fine. That's just one thing less I have to try to remember to do for the next couple of months. She then told me the grand total would be $163. I repeat. One hundred and sixty three dollars.
me: "Is there not a generic?"
her: "No, ma'am."
me: "On second thought, could I just get a month's worth, please?"
So I backed up the drive-thru line about 5 cars deep. I was that woman at the drive-thru window. I'll have to give the ol' doc a call in the next month and kindly ask him to write me another prescription for something with a generic. A cheap generic. For one month's worth of birth control I just paid $55. I think it would cost less to just have another baby!

Yesterday morning/afternoon I partook in one of my most favorite activities as a stay-at-home mommy. I hosted another play date! It was a small crowd this time with this week being Spring Break. Christine brought Hana's best friend, Charles Harry, and Harlika brought her two cutie pies, Luc and Isaac. I was able to snag a few pics of the festivities. Hana kept trying to give Charles Harry a hug. She would sit down next to him and put her arm around him, but as fast as she could get her arm around him, he would slip out from under her arm! LOL She also kept sitting in his lap and yelling at him. Just like any man, he was not a fan of this!

Luc & his little bro, Isaac:

Isaac

Charles Harry decided he likes to sit in the chair backwards and bang on the wall:

The fun started at 11:00 and Hana Grace was asleep by 12:30! LOL Luckily the others did not take that as a cue to leave. Everyone stayed and played until just before 3:00. It's so hard to find a time that works for everyone. I really thought Hana would be so consumed in playing that nap time would be delayed a bit, but she became incredibly cranky within a matter of minutes and I knew it was time to lay her down.

Everyone was gone by the time she woke up. We played some more upstairs and then she enjoyed her snack at 4:00. After snack time we played out back. Boy, was the sun bright! Hana had to keep her face scrunched up the whole time!

She even ate some dirt

and some grass...?

Hana really wanted to slide and swing

but I noticed a few wasps hanging out near her swing set (her Daddy took care of that later) so I had to keep her away from that area. She decided to occupy her time by sweeping the backyard.

Since she didn't get to slide and swing in our backyard, we made a pit stop at the park during our evening stroll.

Hana's new favorite word? SHOE! She says it so clearly too! Everything is "shoe," "shoe," "shoe!" Also, as I was buckling her into her car seat today, she dropped her toy and I said, "I'll get it!" To which she replied, "I'll get it!" She's growing up too fast.

Look what I found! A mini burner oil for upstairs!

Now that Hana has mastered drinking from a cup and a straw, I thought it was time to put her back on the bottle:

TTYL!

Your backyard looks beautiful, and it looks as though Hana Grace loves it out there! Thank you for all the pictures, I can't wait to see her tomorrow......and yes Gramps and I both agree another grandchild would be cheaper!
