A Successful Date Night!

We did it! Joe and I spent our very first night away from Hana Grace this weekend. We had a lot of fun, too! We got a hotel in Fort Worth and went to see Robert Earl Keen at Billy Bob's, which was a great show. Before the show we went to the H3 Steakhouse which is the restaurant inside the Stockyards Hotel. Mmmmm! Joe had a ribeye and I had a chicken fried steak and it was spectacular. (It probably tasted especially good since we sat at the bar for an hour and a half drinking while waiting for our table, but nevertheless, it was DELICIOUS!) We were both Happy that REK sang without a break and the 10:30 show ended at midnight. Sadly enough, I don't think we could have made it until 2:00 am like we used to!
Our hopes of sleeping in we nothing but a joke. At 6:50 am my eyes popped open. I laid there wide awake hoping the sandman would bring me a dream when Joe said "I'm wide awake." How sad! This was our one chance to sleep until 10 or 11 :00 and we didn't even make it to 7:00! LOL WE'RE GETTING OLD!!!
The plan was to hang around Fort Worth until Joe T Garcia's opened for brunch so we could enjoy some nice chilaquiles but we were starved when we woke up - a night of drinking will do that to you! We enjoyed a small continental breakfast provided by the hotel and decided we would head home to see our Hana, and maybe we could talk Mom and Dad into going to Uncle Julio's. We were home just after 10:00 Sunday morning and Hana didn't seem to have missed us at all! We like to have killed ourselves trying to beat each other up the stairs where Hana was playing when we arrived home. We could hear her saying "Mama! Daddy!" She was happy to see us, but was quite content with her Grammy and Gramps.
Did I hear someone say "It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time"? I thought so!
