Bye-Bye!
What a wonderfully sweet little girl I have! We had to do some Wal Mart shopping today and Hana was on her best behavior for the trip. I have learned it's best to go during snack time, not meal time, and let her snack while we shop. Grocery shopping has become more and more interesting over the past few months. She wants to grab everything on the aisles, she wants out of the cart, she wants to be held, she wants to sleep, she wants to hold everything I put into the cart, and so on and so on. I always come prepared with toys and and other random things for her to hold and play with. A few rounds of Pat-a-Cake and The Itsy Bitsy Spider also go over pretty well, but eventually she tires of it all. Now when we shop using the stroller she's good to go for hours most of the time. There's something about that grocery cart that she just does not like! I guess it's probably not very comfy for one. So back to the story. I had just checked the last item off my list as I told Hana we were now ready to go bye-bye. "We're all done!" I said, "Let's pay and go home!" Hana began to say "Bye-bye, bye-bye," and wave to everyone we passed on the way to the checkout counter. I looked around to see if anyone was even paying attention to my sweet angel, and they were. Person after person waved back to her and just laughed. I bet she made their day! I'd like to think that as I'm sitting here typing this, one of them is telling their family or friends about my little girl and how she smiled so big and was so happy to tell them bye-bye today. What a cute-patootie!
