We cannot wait to meet you, Baby Charles!

Well, Chris is at the hospital as we speak having little Charles. I'm not exactly sure where she's at in the process of labor, but she was admitted last night. Charles (Daddy Charles, that is) is supposed to keep us posted. As soon as we hear, we'll be up at the hospital. I keep imagining holding a newborn all over again. I'm sure I'll cry. Hana is growing up way too fast. It literally seems like just yesterday I was in that same hospital giving birth to her. That's a day I would happily live over and over again. I hope all goes well for them. I hope Chris is getting the same royalty treatment I did. We're going to take Hana with us when we go to the hospital. Of course we won't be taking her into the room, but I'm hoping we'll get to show her off to some of my nurses. Joe has wanted me to take her up there for a while now, but I don't really remember any of them! I mean, I remember how wonderful they all were and I kind of remember some of the names and what they looked like. But, honestly, after being in labor for 15 hours, pushing for 3 hours, and then having a C-Section, I was so tired and so happily drugged that I don't know if I'd recognize them now! Happy Birthday, Charles Harrison Broom! I'm sure your Uncle Joe will call you Harry Broom for meanness...But until then, the Frisco Breeders are in full swing!

So Hana and I had the pleasure of Jennifer's company yesterday as we trekked to Plano to Babies R Us. I was able to get all the supplies needed for what I hope is a successful swimming adventure tomorrow! I'm glad someone at our play date mentioned swimming diapers. I don't think that would've crossed my mind until it was too late! We're really looking forward to swimming!

The main focus of our shopping trip was to find Hana a kennel...I'm joking. You know, I always teased that if a crate was good enough for Pagan, it would be good enough for my kid! Now the people reading this who don't really know me are gasping and calling CPS! I'm just kidding. But in our Infant Safety and CPR Class we took, the nurse teaching made a really good point. She talked about how kids treat pets. They don't mean to be mean, but they are, and dogs are dogs. When threatened or harmed they respond the way a dog instinctly would. When we let a kid mess with a dog and then the dog snaps at the kid, we get mad at the dog. In reality it's our fault. It makes perfect sense! Anyway, my Pagan is getting up there in years. She's 9 now, and that's pretty old for as big of a dog as she is. Hana's goal is to get on Pagan's pillow with her. It never fails. Every single time I put her down she immediately crawls to Pagan's pillow. She hasn't hit her or anything she just wants to touch her. Pagan is such a good girl she always just gets up and walks away, as you all have seen in recent pictures and videos.

Well, I decided I needed a way to contain Hana so that I wasn't having to constantly remove her from the dog's pillow. It's near impossible to get anything done without having to put Hana in something so she won't mess with Pagan when I'm not looking. I want her to be able to crawl and explore as she pleases. I don't want to have to put her in her jumper every time I need to potty. (Not that I will leave her unattended now that I have the baby cage) I tried to put Pagan in another room, but it just didn't seem fair to her. She likes being around everyone. But Hana loves her new little area! Within 5 minutes of being in it she was holding on to the sides and pulling herself all the way to standing! This'll probably have her walking in even less time!

Well, Joe just gave me the update. They are going to start giving Chris oxytocin at 10:00! I guess Hana and I should go start getting ready. We'll be heading to the hospital soon!

Hana Grace fell asleep in her Daddy's lap the other night while he was going through the mail!
