Cowgirl the Caterpillar

We found a caterpillar in our kitchen. Well, I wasn't sure if it was a caterpillar at first. It was pink. I've never seen a pink caterpillar, so I trapped it under a glass until Joe could verify what it was. Hana's was fascinated - to say the least.

After it was verified we put it in Hana's bug house and gave it some lettuce, which it snacked on while we were at the zoo.

Hana named it Cowgirl.

Sunday evening she released Cowgirl back into the grass so she (?) could be with her family. Hana let her take the lettuce with her to give to her mommy and daddy.
