Monica's Closet

Any Friends fans out there? If so, then you should know exactly what a "Monica Closet" is. If not, I'll explain. Courteney Cox's character on Friends was a neat freak, but in one episode someone (I think it was Chandler) discovered a closet that was filled full of junk. It was as full as it could be and nowhere near organized. I have several of these. Well, they're not closets, one's a drawer and others are boxes, baskets. You know, they're just places to put all the "extras." What's an extra? It's something that doesn't really fall into a category in the house, so it just gets placed in a box or basket and stowed neatly away. It's what I like to call organized chaos. Joe, however, refers to them all as my "Monica closets."


All of my "Monica closets" drive me insane because I wish they were more organized, but when they're stored neatly in a cube shelf, it gives the appearance of total organization. But I know better. I know what's under those lids! LOL I don't know if this is a good trait or a bad one. I really don't. On one hand I really wish I had it in me to take it to that next step and organize everything, but then I think it's probably good to have a little chaos in my life. I don't know. Good or bad, it is what it is.


I seem to have passed on this questionable trait to my beloved Hana Grace. I have blogged about this some recently. Remember when she cleaned her office by putting it all in that big orange bag? Well this morning she proclaimed, "I cleaned up, Momma! Look!"

Well, that looks wonderful, sweetheart! Where did you put it all?
