Then on Sunday, Joe, Hana and I loaded up and headed to the zoo.
Hana immediately spotted the carousel, "I need to ride that!" she exclaimed. But first we needed to use the potty. It seemed Joe might have been just as excited as Hana was, because while she and I were going potty, he was purchasing the ticket for the carousel. he has never been to the mall with us to ride the carousel, so this was a first for them. As soon as we got back from the restroom, they were off. I could barely keep up.
Hana rode on the Okapi. I learned what it was called while at the zoo that day. How? You'll see!
They had lots of other really cool animals on the carousel, too!
And although Hana did not ride on the gorilla, before getting off the carousel Joe made sure I was able to snap her picture on it. 'Cause we're gorilla and monkey people.

Now where to?
Now where to?
We got to see a "pretty birdy," as Hana said, while Daddy was renting her safari wagon.
Loaded up and ready to see some animals!
Family Photo:
Wait! That's not Joe! Where's Joe? There he is!
Silly Daddy. Look at the...ape. I have no idea what type exactly.
Hana spotted the monorail. "I need to ride that!" Definitely next time when the Savannah is open.
Some sort of mountain goat.
I loved the show Meerkat Manor but I had to stop watching it because I would cry so hard every time died.
Another pretty bird.
Okapi! This is what Hana rode on the carousel! What a beautiful and exotic animal!
Flamingos.
And Dora and Diego were there with their bodyguard - no joke!
Hana would not pose for a picture with them because she was mesmerized by them. She got to say hi to Dora, Diego was saying hi to her too, but she did not pay him any attention until we were walking away. Then she turned around and yelled, "Oh, hey, Diego!"
Creepy naked moles. These were Joe's favorite. NOT!
