Recently I have been very interested in making my own laundry detergent for many reasons, a couple of which being that it is better for your skin and is less expensive. I have come across many recipes, but have a hard time finding everything I need locally. Then I start looking to purchase ingredients online and before I know it I'm a little overwhelmed and not even sure I'll be pleased with the finished product since I am allergic to many laundry detergents and have a high efficiency washer. Although the recipes I have come across claim to be HE safe, I am always skeptical. Anyhow, I've never done it. I think about it every single time I cough up $10-$15 on Tide or Gain, those are my go-tos that I know I'm not allergic to. Every once in a while I'll have a great coupon for some other brand, buy it, use it and then I'll itch for a week before I figure out what the problem is. Last weekend Joe, Hana and I were wandering around our local Trade Days and come across a lady selling goats milk soap, which is something else I've been wanting to try, but hesitant to order online. As I was sniffing away, trying to pick my scents, I spotted a plastic container and immediately knew what was inside. Homemade Goats Milk Soap Laundry Detergent! My heart skipped a beat. I paid a whopping $6 for a container that will wash 60 loads of laundry! I couldn't wait to get home and wash a load of clothes! I am ever so pleased with my purchase. No itching, my laundry is clean and fresh and my checkbook is not aching after the purchase. It also worked just fine in my HE washer! And what's more? If I bring my container back to her when empty, she'll fill it for only $5. Now that, my friends, is a bargain!
I am not getting paid for saying any of this, I'm just spreading the word of great products. The laundry detergent and the soap are amazing! Check them out!

Amazing! I will have to try it out!
that's GREAT!
...before we got a HE washer, I made my own laundry detergent with Ivory soap & baking soda. I loved it! But, like you, I have been hesitant to put some "claim to be HE safe" homemade laundry detergent. I'm glad to see that you've found something awesome!
