Hana was in awe of the snakes, spiders and various other critters behind the glass.

Fool's gold, that is.
Dinosaurs and
amethyst and
giant hissing cockroaches. Oh my!
This is her peering in to look at the black widow.
Can you see the giant below?
She was even brave enough to crawl through this dark tunnel full of giant (fake) bugs!
She also enjoyed the dino dig
as well as the nature trails.

She really does not like the trees this time of year. She thinks they're scary and we can get into deep conversations about why they loose their leaves.
"Look! I found a stick that's shaped like the letter H for Hana!"
Priceless.
I learned something about myself while visiting this museum. The black widows, tarantulas, various snakes and bugs did not bother me much at all. I imagine this had something to do with the fact they they were behind glass, but still they did not bother me. I really enjoyed getting to look closely at them, especially the black widow. I have seen tarantulas and lots of snakes up close and personal before, but this was the first time I had ever seen a black widow. I honestly did not know what one looked like except that they had that red hour glass on them. What I found interesting, though, was that looking at those nasty giant cockroaches gave me goosebumps from head to toe. They weren't even moving much, they were just sitting there threatening me. Threatening to do what to me? I have no idea! Nevermined that some of the other things that didn't bother me at all could kill me and all a cockroach can do is crawl around hissing and being disgusting, one look at them gave me the willies and I felt like they were crawling all over me!
