FYI: This is post #2 for the day. Lately I've done a poor job of keeping up with the blog, but I'm getting back into the swing of things. ;-)
This morning we got ready and headed out the door to go see Hana's doctor for her three-year checkup.
She is such a good girl when it comes to going to the doctor. This time she got her first official big girl exam. She got to do everything the big girls do! She got to take her jacket and boots off and stand on the scale to be weighed and then she had her blood pressure taken! She loved the little machine that "hugged" her arm. She made sure to tell me later that it did not hurt at all, it just squeezed a little. After that we were taken to another room to wait to see the doctor.
She got a great "report card," which is what they call it. (So cute!) Then he asked if we had started colors, counting, ABC's, etc. I had to laugh. I just answered, "Yes, and she masters everything!" He seemed impressed, but not as impressed as me. I guess I'm biased. I suppose he'd have to spend a lot more time with her to know how absolutely brilliant she is. ;-) Okay, okay, I'll stop gushing now. Her three-year-old stats are as follows:
Weight: 36 lbs 2 oz 90%
Height: 38.3 in 90%
So basically she's tall and proportionate!
Her blood pressure was 88/62 and her pulse was 100.
Her physical exam was "normal" and her development was "excellent." She's not due back for another year where she'll get her first set of school boosters. She did not receive any shots today even though she was totally prepared.
Now it's my turn for a checkup. My appointment is at 1:15. I hope I get as good of a report card as she did!
