Hana's great! We went to the doctor and he quickly discovered she had what he called "nurse maid's elbow," which is an almost dislocated elbow. Apparently it's very common in squirmy wormy kiddos like my very own. He even descibed the "typical scenario" in which this happens which was ironically on point. I thought he might have been following us around Ikea yesterday... So he popped it right back into place with not so much as a whimper out of Hana Grace. She literally only tensed up and looked back at me like "what's he doing, mom?" and then it was all over. Within 10 minutes she was back to normal like nothing had ever happened. Whew. I'm contemplating putting her in some sort of bubble until she gets out of this injury-prone phase.
She also received her flu shot and while she's always been a true champ at receiving shots, I was a bit concerned about today since she's so much older and aware than last year. But she watched the lady put the needle in her and never flinched, cried, or anything. Well, she was too busy being the doctor.
I'm sure Dr. Nail had no idea what he was setting me up for when he handed Hana a tongue depressor and told her "Now you be the doctor." He was merely getting her to reach with her hurt arm, but now she really and truly believes that she is in fact a doctor. After all, a real doctor gave her a doctor stick (aka tongue depressor). She sure put on a show for the nurse as she stood in the middle of the exam room and pretended to be my doctor and prepared me to receive a flu shot. "I'm just going to stick a needle in you. It won't hurt. It might sting a little, but it's only going to take a picture of you, okay?" She obvioulsy listened very well as I explained the flu shot and possible x-ray process to her earlier. ;-)

I am so glad Dr. Hana is all better! I'm sure there will be more to come, bubble or not! She is a bottle of exploring energy, and that's the way we all love her! Never a boring minute!
Love, neeny xxooxoxoxx
Good to hear everything is O.K.Maybe Dr.Nail can pop my neck.
I had to take Azaria to the doctor twice when she was Haha's age for nursemaids elbow. The doctor taught me how to pop it back in place myself so I wouldn't have to keep coming in. LOL
