New Living Room

Once Brad worked his magic and made it possible for our TV to be on another wall, it (quite literally) opened up so many possibilities! This is now the view from the kitchen. This same view used to be of the back of the couch which enclosed our tiny living room.

How spacious! We got a real bargain on our new rug. To make a long story short, it was sitting with all the other rugs at Target but it didn't have a price tag. It was the same size as and was sitting with the $330 rugs but looked similar to a $230 rug. If you've priced rugs lately, you'd know that that's actually not a bad price for such a large rug. Anyhow, needing to know this rug's story, Joe carried it up front to Customer Service where they had to open up and unroll the rug in order to reach the tag to scan to check the price. Then a manger had to be called over because they couldn't find a price. Apparently it was an item that should not have even been for sale, it should have been salvaged and someone mistakenly placed it with the other rugs. Well a huge thank you goes out to that someone because the only price they could come up with was an old clearance price for it..........are you ready for this? We paid a whopping $57 (before tax) for this rug! And with that said, I LOVE it even more!

My wonderful husband also dropped me at the door of Pier 1 so I could find some pillows to tie in the new rug and chair. I spent a little more on these than I normally would have, but I figured we saved a significant amount of money on that rug, so a little splurge on the pillows (that freakishly almost match the rug perfectly) would be okay.

But we had this space that needed to be filled and I thought it only fair that I have my very own chair to sit next to Joe's recliner.

Guess what! Mine reclines too! But guess what else. It's crooked.
Do you see the bottom footboard thingy? It's very crooked. I'm upset because I signed off on it when it was delivered. I had inspected the whole chair, just not from afar. Once the guys left and I was scooting it around to find the perfect spot I noticed it and all of it's crooked glory. Sigh. I guess we'll be sending it back and probably paying another delivery fee to get a new not crooked one.
But all in all, I love my new living room! And so does Hana...

Oh, and nevermind all the cobwebs in the pictures and video, it's Halloween and Hana LOVES spiders...or maybe I just haven't dusted in a while. LOL

It looks beautiful Courtney! I love it! Can't wait to see it in person! Hana has so much space to tumble and dance! It reminds me of my cupcake clark at that age! You were bouncing off of the walls! I remember the perfect flip-flop in the living room at 3 years old! Seems like just the other day!
