As you know from my previous post, Thursday Hana and I headed to the lake to make good on a late Mother's Day/early Father's Day gift for Neeny & Geegaw.
And I guess it was also an early birthday present for Mr. Guthrie.
Hana spent three nights (one with me there, two without) in the beautiful country
swimming and shooting water guns
while yelling "Kill! Kill! Kill!" (Gee whiz. I have no idea where she learned that one. Honestly.)
Friday night Joe and I went to a local comedy club and stayed at a fancy hotel.
Saturday afternoon we went to see Wicked. And it was 'wickedly awesome.' Yes, we're wearing the same clothes from the night before because, while we had our suitcase with us, the clothes (which were on hangers) were conveniently hung in the laundry room as we were heading out and forgotten.
We had what we originally thought were crappy seats, but ultimately we ended up really liking where we were.
Then we headed to downtown Ft. Worth to meet our friends Jeff and Heather.
I was intrigued by the view from our room.
That is a swimming pool at a vacant hotel.
We had a great time but couldn't wait to get our hands on Hana Sunday morning. She obviously had a good time visiting everyone at the lake because as soon as we got home...
Joe described this weekend perfectly by saying we experienced relaxed anxiety. As soon as we felt relaxed and at ease, we were overwhelmed with anxiety, feeling as though we were missing something, or should I say someone.

We had such fun with Hana. What entertainment. She is so funny sometimes. I am going to have to get us better water guns, the ones we had were not good. She told me that GeeGaw was so nice. lol she is such a trip. Nana really enjoyed her, we fed her red grapes, green grapes, and grape tomatoes..fun for all
