...and I miss her.

Yesterday Hana and I headed to the lake. Today I came home by myself. This is the third time for her to be away from me overnight, but this time it's for two nights in a row. Yes, I know she is in very good hands. Yes, I know she will return (even more) spoiled rotten. Yes, I know this is healthy for her. Yes, I know this is healthy for me. Yes, I know this is healthy for my marriage. Yes, I know that she probably doesn't really miss me that much. Yes, I know that's a good thing. I may know all these things, but I still miss her. I still cried part of the way home.

I would have continued crying but luckily Ashley called and talked to me for like two hours. Two hours? Yep, two hours. I was stuck in horrible traffic. So bad the intersection became a parking lot. Fortunately, I was engrossed in wonderful conversation with Ashley and never had the chance to get too upset because I would have felt awful for being angry when I finally saw the cause of the traffic. I saw my very first dead body and it disturbed me. I had to hang up with Ashley to let Joe know not to take that particular highway home because it's his usual route and when I got off the phone with him I began to cry more. I was overcome with sadness for the family of the lifeless body I saw partially covered with a white sheet. Life is short.

And now that I have brought myself to tears again...

Joe and I have a fun-filled weekend ahead of us and I must get out of my sad funk and get showered and packed and ready to go!

P.S. When you Zoners see Hana, hug her and kiss her for me and let her know her mommy and daddy miss her SO MUCH!!!

We haven't had much down time around here. When we got home from Athens,we broke out the pool and drove Guthrie crazy. When Neene got home her Hana Grace went to the lake. You're right, they skipped rocks for 1 1/2 hours. Then supper and a bath.Suddenly I noticed Neene and Hana Grace were no where in sight.I found them fast asleep in Neenes' bed.So turned off thier T.V. and went on about my business.

Thank you for sharing Hana with us, and I hope you will do it again soon. As you witnessed on your way home from the lake, life is short....make sure you dance every dance!
