Green Chile Cheeseburger Throwdown

This weekend the guys in the family competed in a Green Chile Cheeseburger Throwdown. You know, it was kind of like Food Network's Throwdown with Bobby Flay, except this was a throwdown the Zoner way!

Brad showed up with his burgers (yum!)

and he was wearing mittens - Hana style.

There was some major grilling taking place out back.

Apparently there was some major eating taking place back there, too.

Geegaw's burgers are ready...

Mmm...They sure look good!

Joe's Burgers are ready!

Here they are just waiting to be judged.

A: Brad

B: Geegaw

C: Joe

And the lucky judge is Hayden.

He started with Brad's, Burger A.

Now for a bite out of Burger C, Joe's.

And last but not least was Geegaw's, Burger B.

The decision was just too hard so he had to take a second bite out of each.

And the winner is.....

BURGER C!

Now, I am very proud of my husband. I am. It's just that I don't think he needed any reason to have an even bigger ego! =) No, no, I take that back. He worked really hard on perfecting his burger. We have eaten green chile cheeseburgers every weekend for the past two months! He is well-deserving of his new apron:

and his new grill tool set.

I had to censor Brad's true feelings.

Good job, guys! I hear the next throwdown is barbecued chicken. You'd better start practicing!
