Sock Mitten Laundry

I did Hana's laundry yesterday because she was running out of socks to wear on her feet and on her hands. Look at all the sock mittens she managed to go through in six days. Notice the stragglers. Sometimes she just channels Punky Brewster.

Notice the different sizes of the socks? See how some of them are smaller ankle socks. Well, apparently those make the best mittens. She really had quite a few clean socks left, but none of them were good enough for her to wear as mittens. She would sit with her basket of socks and put one after another on trying to find that satisfying fit. I finally realized that she prefers the ankle socks - so I did laundry. 'Cause I'm a good Mommy. I have also wisened (did I make up that word?) up and the basket o' socks now stays in her closet where she can't get to it during nap time and night time. This way she can't get up several times to change sock mittens when she should be sleeping. This angers her, but overall seems to be working. Oh, sock mittens!
