Important Life Lessons by Hana Grace

Things are not always as they seem.

Always be willing to give a second chance.

Don't be afraid of what is new and/or strange to you.

Always be willing to experience something new.

Never be afraid of the unknown.

Do not run from what you don't understand.

Be accepting of all things big and small.

EXAMPLES:

(1) Hana was given a walking, stomping, grunting gorilla for her birthday and this was her initial reaction:

But now she loves her gorilla. She imitates him and says, "That's a silly monkey, Mommy! He's so funny!"

(2) Also for her birthday she received a motorized Barbie ATV. The battery needed to charge for 18 hours before she could use it so she just thought she had received a big pink car to sit on. She couldn't make it go on her own so it just sat there. What a disappointment!

After almost a full day of charging the battery, she was taken outside, sat on it and this happened:

(3) For Christmas Hana was given a giant sock monkey and this is how she reacted:

(4) Hana was also given an Ernie doll at Christmas. She was not afraid of him, she just wasn't interested in him because he didn't do anything. As soon as she got her hands on him she started pushing on his feet, hands and stomach looking for a button to make him speak or something. Once she realized he had no such button, she threw him down and moved on. Poor Ernie. But now (notice the sock mittens):

Oh, and there's still one more important life lesson Hana would like to teach you:

Always sleep with your mittens on. No matter what.
