1. Hana scratched herself with her fingernail (They grow like crazy! We trim them constantly!) in a couple places on her face. One has healed completely, but she just won't leave the one on her nose alone so now it looks like this:
Solution?
The boo boo is much better now, but she still insists on wearing her Hello Kitty band aid!
2. Everything is a slide to Hana these days. No really. She slides off the recliner, down the stairs (yikes!), off the bed, off the couch, you name it. I do my best to keep the sliding to a minimum, but mostly I just try to be present as it takes place, as there is no stopping her. There more you tell her no, the more adamant she becomes about doing it. Really, I have no idea how she got so stubborn and strong-minded. I learned very early on that it's best to let her try it (to an extent) and see what happens (within reason, of course!). Sunday morning she decided her step stool would make a good slide. That ended with her bumping her chin
and biting her tongue.
That picture was taken yesterday, so clearly it has healed a lot between Sunday and then. Upon first inspection of the fresh wound, I was convinced she might need a stitch or two! But when she used her finger to move the flap of tongue around, I figured it couldn't be too bad! (Yuck!) She cried some at first, but after a kiss or two she insisted that "It's all better now!"

Her poor little tongue....no wonder she cried!
That is greatness! She could be one of my crazy kids! Baylee was in the ER twice within the first 2 months we lived in San Antonio and received stitches both times! With the same ER doctor, LOL! I was just sure he was going to have me investigated!
