Christmas 2009

We started off the day on Christmas Eve with an apple for breakfast. At least I thought it was an apple. Hana took a couple of bites out of it and quickly had a different opinion as to what it was she was eating.

The family gathered at our house this year to celebrate Christmas. A great time was had by all. There was even a surprise visit by Santa himself!

While Hana utterly adores the blue teddy bear Santa gave her when he came to visit, she still tells me that she does not like him. "I don't like Santa, Mommy. I don't. Santa's all gone now, though. It otay!" We opened lots of gifts on Christmas Eve.

Here's Hana, her new Ernie and her new Cookie Monster trying out her new sleeping bag.

Santa stopped by again after Hana went to sleep and dropped off many more presents.

The weather outside was frightful, but the fire was so delightful! We were actually snowed in and had to set up air mattresses in unusual places. What fun! Josh really enjoyed the air mattress in the kitchen. He thinks that's how I should cook from now on.
We may have been snowed in, but that meant Neeny and Geegaw were snowed out. They weren't able to make it until Christmas Day due to a tragic and very unfortunate turn of events. They had much more important family matters to tend to, but eventually they did make it to us safely despite the weather.

Once awake Christmas morning, it didn't take long for Hana to realize Santa had returned!

We Texans have always dreamed of a white Christmas and this was the first I have ever experienced - or at least remember! Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

And to top it off, we were even visited by Frosty the Snowman!
And Saturday morning it was time to do a little more shopping at the after-Christmas sales!

Hana has so much love....I wish I could have been there to see it all in person! Santa, Hana dancing, Joe and Josh doing the Hana dance, building a snowman, etc... It looks like you all had a wondeful time!
