Walking by 1 and Potty Trained by 2!

Ch Ch Ch Changes...

That's my girl! She walked before her first birthday and now she's potty trained before her second birthday. I guess I owe some sort of a prize to Brad and Neeny for guessing correctly. Hmmm...what could it be? Maybe one of Hana's old, slightly used diapers?
See, that was supposed to be a video of me going to get my big girl out of her big girl bed yesterday morning. But instead it became a video of me going to get my potty trained girl out of her big girl bed. While she's still having the occasional accident, which I know is normal, I think it's safe to deem her officially potty trained. I mean, when you're at the store and the kid says "I need go bathroom, Mommy!" And you say, "Okay, honey. There's a lot of perishables in the shopping cart, but we'll be leaving here shortly to go home. If you can hold it until then, there's a giant sucker with your name all over it at home!" Pulling into the driveway about 45 minutes later, the kid starts to cry, muttering something about the potty. You just assume it's because she is in the potty training process and is upset that she had an accident because after all, it's been 45 minutes since she first told you she needed to potty. Holding true to your promise, you immediately put said kid on the potty to discover a totally dry Pull Up and the kid is tee teeing like she's never tee teed before. I think it's safe to say that that particular kiddo is potty trained. And that kiddo is MY KIDDO! Here she is on Monday enjoying that giant sucker she was promised:
Way to go Hana Grace! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you and all of your big-girl-panty-wearing abilities! Yes, she is wearing her big girl panties practically everywhere now, even on trips out of the house now! Of course I will put her in Pull Ups for Thanksgiving tomorrow and for her birthday party Saturday just because she will be excited to see everyone and I don't want her to get sidetracked, have a big accident and become emberassed and/or ashamed. I want her to enjoy her SECOND BIRTHDAY to it's fullest extent. Holy cow! Tomorrow is Hana Grace's SECOND BIRTHDAY. What in the world happened to my little baby?! She is such a BIG GIRL now!
