I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! And I'm feeling so good that I finally convinced Joe that Hana was over due for her first real hair cut (more than just her bangs). You all know that I'm not one to get too attached to hair. It is, after all, hair. It will grow back. And if she takes after her Momma, it will grow at lightning speed. Hana had a nice little mullet with a few curls in it that was getting awfully stringy looking in the back.
Everyone kept saying (and you know who you are), "But you'll cut her curls off!"
Curls? Were they really curls? I admit that it was a difficult decision, but once I make up my mind, that's it! Now all I needed to do was convince her Daddy that a few snips of the scissors would make her hair appear much more bouncy and full. It took me a while, but I think him being home this past week and seeing her much more made him really take her stringy mullet into consideration and ultimately he realized that Mommy might really know best for once. ;-) Now, my hair is straight as a board and so is Hana's Daddy's, so did any of you really expect us to have a curly-headed kid? I think not. Drum roll please...............and yes, I found it rather difficult to snap a good pic of it, especially since it was past her bed time and she was WIRED!
Now wipe away your tears and GET OVER IT! Doesn't it look beautiful?! She's pretty fond of it herself.
And all of that hem-hawing was over this:

This itty bitty lock of hair. Well, and a few extra wispies that washed down the drain!

I admit I did get a trickle of tears, but it looks great! It already looks thicker! Next it will need to be shaved???

Looks great!! The first of many, many haircuts, I'm sure. And it'll be back long before you know it.
