Such A Big Girl!

I've blogged quite a bit recently about Hana's switch. You know the one that has been magically turned on and is making her speak like such a big girl? Yea, that's the one. The one that made her say, upon returning from her weekend with her grandparents, "Mama (what happened to Mommy, by the way?!) I see Geegaw Neeny. Bye-bye, Geegaw Neeny!" Yep, it's the same one that made her say, after I stopped recording her listening to her voicemail message from Brad, "Hear Bad (aka Brad)? Mama hear Bad?" It's that same stinkin' switch that made her say, Monday morning when I was getting her out of bed, "Say 'where's Hana?'!" while putting her blanket over her head to play peekaboo. And who is this Ernie character she keeps talking about?! LOL Not to mention Nana! I can't tell if she's asking me for a banana, which she calls nana, or if she's asking for Nana!
Well, along with her new mental matureness, she's done a lot of physical growing and maturing as well. Like pulling her stool all the way into the kitchen from the bathroom to help me cook dinner. It wasn't my idea. She thought of it all on her own!
She helped me snap the ends off the green beans.
Yesterday I purchased this:
Bye bye highchair, hello booster seat! Bittersweet. Look how grown up she seems eating her dinner at the table with the rest of the family.
We were supposed to have guests over last night, so the booster was just an experiment to see if we were ready for it while letting our friends' little boy use the highchair.
I think we'll keep using it!
So, as I mentioned, we were supposed to have company last night, but those plans were abruptly canceled. Why? Well, the little girl decided to go and get sick on us. =( It's just a little bug, complete with a high fever and diarrhea. FUN! That's why this post is full of naked baby photos! Her fever broke before bed time, odd I know, but I sent her off to dreamland with Motrin in her anyway. Just in case. I checked on her twice last night, accidentally waking her once by sticking the thermometer in her ear! LOL I know, I know, let the poor kid sleep already! But her fever had spiked to over 102 at one point yesterday and that makes me nervous. I just couldn't sleep for imagining her up there burning up. Although, I must brag. I was a very good (and strong) Mommy and I let the fever do it's job and I held off giving her any medicine until bed time, checking her temperature every 15 minutes or so (with her help, of course)
to make sure it didn't get too high, just like the doctor advised me a while back. It was hard because I immediately want to medicate to bring the fever down, but I realize that fevers have a reason and they're good - to a point. 102 was my max, but it didn't stay over that for long so I fought through and resisted the urge to medicate. Yea me?
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot! Daddy went shopping.

What a little helper! And you'll never get her back in the highchair now. She's a big girl! The shirt is too cute. Hope she's all better!
