The Last Day of Summer

Yesterday was officially the last day of summer. I really should have gotten Hana's pool out and let her swim, but it was very humid, muddy and gross outside. Too humid, muddy and gross to fool with a pool! LOL I'll probably regret that because it just might have been the last day to play in the pool with her at this wonderful age. Today is a nice cool, rainy day. It's much too cold to put an almost two-year-old in the pool. But we are in Texas, so chances are it will be hot enough very soon - like maybe tomorrow. =) Despite all the humid, muddy, grossness, we still played outside some yesterday.

But it wasn't long before we came back inside, cleaned up,

Hana went through her favorite drawer of my jewelry cabinet (the one that houses my watches and bracelets, of course),

and then we headed upstairs to play. After all, Hana told me verbatim, "Mommy, I need go play!" Once upstairs, I took her bottoms off of her and told her to sit down on her potty. I turned my back and she exclaimed, "I sit down, Mommy!" and I turned around to find this:

Yes, it has since been steralized. ;-)
Hana also helped me decorate for Fall.

Just don't ask! Check out the pretty new oil burner I got at Wally World for only $5! Love it!
