Over the River and Through the Woods...

...to Grandmother's house we go!
Quite literally, except we refer to her as Neeny (and don't forget about Geegaw!).

This weekend was Hana's first ever night away from home without Mommy and Daddy.

We packed her bags (and wiped away tears),

kissed her goodbye (and wiped away tears),

handed her over (and wiped away tears)

and watched her drive away (and wiped away tears).
It was bittersweet (more bitter than sweet.) We knew it would be good for everyone involved, but that doesn't mean we had to be happy about it! What did we do while Hana was off entertaining the family without Mommy and Daddy nearby?

And, of course, we had to get Hana Grace a gift.
This horse was just screaming "Look at my hooves!"
From what I understand, a great time was had by all. It was a nice mini vacay for us, but we woke up in our hotel room this morning anxious to get our hands on our baby girl!

Beautiful photo of Joe and you, no wonder you have such a beautiful daughter! I hope you had a good time because Hana, Geegaw, and Neeny had a wonderful time....it was just too short...but it sounds as though we were lucky to have her what time we were granted? Hana is such a beautiful, unique, kind, sharing, caring GRAND-daughter! It will be hard to top her! I love you Hana, and thank you mommy and daddy for sharing her with us this weekkend:)
Love,neeny

Great time for all.NeeNee and I are planning our next visit from our Granddaughter. We have decided that we'll just take each moment as they come.We had big plans but we soon learned that she was content just playing outside while we cheered her on.We'll also plan her snacks and dinner so that they will be simple and quick. It's all about timing.

It was quite a treat to have Hana Grace show up at our house Saturday evening. She is such a hoot! So entertaining and so so much fun. Can't wait to see her again.

Don't stress, in due time. Glad you had a great time, the pictures are cool. Again I am proud of the two of you, and that picture is so cute of the two of you. Planning on framing it. love you V
