Has it really been two whole days since my last post?! My how time flies when you're, well, trying to stay busy. I have been going nonstop this entire week because every time I sit still I see my beloved pooch's face. Not that it's a bad thing to see her face, I just know I need to keep busy so that I don't sit around and cry all day. But I still cry - a lot. I miss that beautiful pup more than you'll ever know!
So what have we been doing to keep busy? Lots of shopping, of course. I'm a firm believer in retail therapy! LOL It's not even about buying things, just about going and seeing. I'm a bargain hunter too, so there were actually things that I had been wanting to get but never took the time to search for the best price and I have taken care of that this week. The rental has kept us pretty busy this week as well, but that's a story for another day.
Wednesday we hosted a play date and went with a baby-pool party theme

complete with a pool, bubbles, and lots of sunblock! It was a hit! It was supposed to get rained out, but the weather was actually on my side for once. (imagine that) The little boys had a blast!

I was so impressed that they just got right in with no hesitation whatsoever.
As you can see, I broke down and bought Hana a lawn mower (wish it really worked!). She had so much fun with Shane's at his birthday party

I just had to get her her very own.

My friend, Annie, and her two kiddos, Helen and Thomas, stayed for a while after and Helen showed Hana Grace how to be a good big sister (That is not a hint. Calm down.)

Farmer Joe has some tomatoes appearing! Mmm! I cannot wait. I hope Wayne will leave them alone long enough to ripen! LOL

Miss Hana does her part to keep us in cilantro.

We've picked that poor plant apart. We've decided that we'd have to have a field of cilantro to keep up with our consumption. I actually had to break down and buy cilantro today. I just couldn't bring myself to pull another leaf off of that sad-looking plant. Oh well, give it a couple more days and we'll be back in business! I am not planting a cilantro field in my back yard! If I did, then we wouldn't have room for this...

And you know me, I love to keep fresh flowers in the house. Look at this beautiful bouquet currently on our table.
Hana Grace is just growing out of control. She has successfully used her potty again as well as had a few accidents just outside of the potty. She has lots of new words and phrases like "Oh boy!", "Hurry! Hurry!", "Alright!", "Okay!" and the best yet "Love you!" She also can say the alphabet up to well, tonight it was "G." She made it to "J" yesterday, but tonight "G" stumped her. Now, this is repeating after me, not just reciting it on her own. However, she's pretty good with her vowels. "A", "E", "O", "E", "O" she says all by herself! She has also learned how to say and the meaning of "mine", "me", and "you." No joke. She even pointed to a picture of her and Joe yesterday and told him "me" (as she pointed to herself) and "you" (when she pointed to him). And today while I was cooking dinner she put her purse on her shoulder, went to the door and said "Bye, Mommy!" Yep, she waved and tried her best to open the door. I wonder where she was going to go?
I've also cooked several tasty recipes this week, so you'll have to stay tuned to my recipe blog to see what I've got cooking. TTYL!
