Yesterday Hana was invited to her friend, Shane's, third birthday party. She got all dressed up for the occasion.
She actually wore the sunglasses almost the entire time and even kept her pigtails in until the rubber bands broke! I think the sun made them break because they're made out of this weird plastic stuff. The party was Nemo themed and all the kids and dads went swimming. What a nice break for the mommies! We all sat around and watched and talked and took pics of all our cutie patooties:
Daddy fixed her up right. There was no way this little girl was going to drown! LOL Now, if she flipped upside down, that would have been another story, but he stayed right next to her.
Check out what she looked like from behind!
In keeping with the "fish" theme, they "fished" for their goody bags! What a cute idea! The Dad snuck into an outdoor storage cabinet that the lid slides back on. They taped wave-shaped construction paper to the top so it looked like water. They rigged a fishing pole with regular string and tied a clip to it. When the kid put the string into the "water," the Dad would shake the cabinet like they had caught a really big fish and he would clip the goody bag onto the string. What a catch!

Hana had her 18-month check up today and here are the results compared to her 15-month check up:
18 month 15 month
weight: 27.5 75-90% 24.14 75-90%
height: 33.8 97% 32 97%
head: 19.3 97% 19 97%
She's a growing girl! And as always, he was so very impressed with her phenomenal vocabulary. She did not get any shots today, just a finger prick to make sure she's not anemic. She blew that test out of the water as well! She needed a level of at least 11.1 and our over achiever had a level of 13.6. Way to go! LOL!
