...and Hana makes 3 who are Swine-Flu free!

1. My Dad was tested
2. Josh was tested
3. Hana was tested
What a week! Where do I even begin? As you all know, Angela is here and we've been having a great time. Well, I hope she is anyway. We're pretty boring people. Jenn came over Monday just as Hana Grace was waking up from her nap. She woke up very hoarse and I noticed this bark-like sound coming from deep within her chest. Uh-oh. Around 6:00 that evening she crashed hard. She had the most miserable look on her face and she was running a fever. After a very rough night, I made her a doctor's appointment the next morning, which was yesterday. She was tested for the Flu and the Swine Flu, which both came back negative. Come to find out she has a viral cold and viral croup. Apparently croup can become pretty serious very fast. I had no idea. I was told to have a humidifier going 24-7 and to sleep in the same room as her so that I can get to her quickly when she has a coughing fit. At that point I am to take her to the bathroom and turn on a hot shower to get the air nice and steamy for her. I was also given lots of other suggestion which we are following closely. I was also given things to look for that are signs to get to the ER ASAP. Kind of scary stuff for us. This is the first time she has been truly sick. She's had a minor cold here and there, but nothing like this. Her eyes have dark circles around them.
It absolutely breaks my heart. I remember when Mom and Dad used to say that my eyes told the story. They were always able to tell when I was sick if you just looked into my eyes. No doubt, she has my eyes. But she's a trooper! Half the time you can't even tell she's sick until she opens her mouth to speak and she sounds like an old woman who's been smoking for 50 years! LOL She has her highs and lows as we all do when we're under the weather. Just as soon as you think you're feeling pretty good, you're knocked back down. She'll be better in no time and this will soon be a thing of the past. She did, however, get her very first prescription filled yesterday, and boy does it make her drunk! Angela and Victoria have been able to witness her stumbling around! I'll try to catch it on camera. She still tries to dance and entertain, it's just 2 steps forward and 10 steps back right now. She takes her medicine without a problem. Here's a video of her taking medicine for the very first time ever (other than Tylenol and Motrin).
As I type this, she is taking a well-needed nap and Angela is looking at a couple other wedding venue possibilities. I am SO SAD I wasn't able to go with her, but I just don't think I should have Hana out and about right now, and she's pretty fussy so I would hate to leave her with Victoria because she gets pretty inconsolable and I think that's something only a Mommy and Daddy should have to deal with. I told her to take lots of pics though! I am so sad that Angela is leaving tomorrow. We have really enjoyed her company. No one will ever truly know how much I wish they just lived around the corner. But then we would probably take each other's company for granted, and they seem to really have it going on out in LA. I am so proud of both of them!
Here are some misc. pics from this past weekend when Ninny came up for a visit.

Yes, Hana does have youe eyes...she looks so pitiful. You are such a good mommy, and take such great care of Hana! I wish you both could have gone with Angela, and I'm sure she understands! I wish we all lived closer, but the visits would be taken for granted if we did! I love you all....get rest when Hana rests...ninnyXXOOXXXOXOOO
