This weekend flew by in the blink of an eye. Saturday I attended a baby shower that I thought started at 2:00 but really started at 11:00. That was fun. I showed up at 1:55 to find the gifts were already opened and the cake was eaten. Imagine my horror when I finally asked "Am I late?" And the response was, "Yes, the shower started at 11:00." I wanted to crawl in a hole and never show my face again. How embarrassing! Luckily everyone was still there so I got to visit with them for about an hour or so. Nichole looked really good and little Maci Victoria will be here before we know it!
Saturday night was Annie's 30th birthday celebration. Jennifer watched Hana while Joe and I met up with everyone at Carraba's and then joined in the festivities at Family Karaoke. Oh, yes! We had a blast singing karaoke. This place has private rooms you rent out so you don't have to get up in front of a big audience and make a fool out of yourself. We had so much fun, we didn't get home until 3:00 am! I hear Hana Grace was a good girl for Jenn and it sounds like they had fun as well. Unfortunately Hana fell asleep around 9:00 so Jenn didn't get to spend too much time with her, but hey, it could have been the other way around. Hana could have misbehaved and not wanted to go to bed and been a little terror - not my sweet girl though! She never ventures far off schedule.
Yesterday was a day of recuperation and asking myself over and over "Why did you drink so many shots on top of all the vodka sodas?" Oh, well. It's been a LOOOONG time since I had that kind of fun and I think I deserved it! It will be a LOOOONG time before I do it again though! LOL I am getting old!
Hana enjoyed her very first smoothie the other day. I just mixed part of a banana, some strawberries, milk and a few pieces of ice in the blender and voila - a baby smoothie!
She really enjoyed it:
Here's Hana giving "Puppy" some love. She is really obsessed with Pagan these days. Pagan's still not sure what to think of her. She's always good with her, but I don't let Hana get too close for very long. Pagan is a bit of a grumpy old lady at times. It's so sweet though. Hana always goes and sits next to her and puts her arm around her. She likes to do that while standing too, but I really try to discourage that. Pagan has a hard enough time standing on her own.
She still loves to look out the windows...
She loves her Daddy too!
And like her Daddy, she loves to wrestle!
