We will be going to a wedding in April. Just a few minutes ago, over dinner, Joe and I were discussing what gift we should give the bride and groom. I asked him to think back to our wedding gifts. What did we receive that he really appreciated? Mom and Dad are going to give them towels with their initials embroidered on them. I was telling Joe how I think that's a great gift. We received some for our wedding (Thanks Meshell!) and they still hang in our bathroom to this day. The bride and groom's first names start with an "S" as well as their last name, so Mom asked me not too long ago if I thought she should just have one "S" embroidered on the towels or do three S's. I was discussing this with Joe. I think three S's would look cool:
sSs
Our towels look like this:
JMC
"J" for his first name, "C" for my first name and the "M" is for our last name.
Are you ready for this? Joe thought about it for a minute and said, "So what do the initials on our towels stand for?" I said, "Joseph and Courtney and the M is for our last name." His response? "Oh, I thought it was just for my initials!" See, his initials are JCM. He really thought Meshell and her family got us those towels with his initials on them! Silly Daddy! Looks like I'm not the only one who has those moments...
