Hana's mug shot:
She was arrested for being too cute!
Update:
Hana really is learning about a word a day. Last night she very clearly said "ducky," referring to her rubber ducky in the bath tub. Is this normal? Her vocabulary seems to be growing at rapid speed and the kid is only 14 months old! I'll try to list all of he words, I don't know if I can remember them all at this point. Hi, Hello, Baby, Puppy, Doggy, Kitty, Car, Ball, Mama, Dada, Daddy, Uh-oh, Wee, No, Guthrie, Nana, Happy, Hana, Thank you, Bite, Yea, Yeah, Bye-Bye, Night Night, Ew, Ewie, Poo Poo, Josh, Paw Paw, Ow, Nose (which sounds like no but she points to nose), Ducky. I know that's not all.
At this stage in her life Hana Grace is the most loving little girl ever. She is obsessed with giving kisses and she loves to give hugs and pats on the back. She nods her head yes to just about everything and she also loves to have things her way. If things don't go her way she throws a bit of a tantrum, falling to the ground and slinging her whole body backwards to the floor. She can climb up the stairs with no problem and she can come down the stairs as long as someone is with her. We do not assist her in coming down the stairs other than to encourage her to go down to the next step. She scoots down on her bottom (she MUST see where she's going at all times so climbing down backwards did not work out for us), but she still tries to stand and take it one step at a time - big no no! Her favorite toy at this time would have to be the wagon and anything else she can climb in, including the baskets that hold her toys.
She sings a few songs. One goes something like "tooly tooly, bleeble bleeble, da-ly-da-ly, geely geely"; and another goes, "baaaby. baaaby." My favorite is "Ha-ppy Ba-by" although it sounds more like she's calling someone Habeeb! LOL
Her favorite game to play is the one where she hands you imaginary things, she also likes to feed you imaginary things. Hana also likes to "drink" (make gulping noises) out of her "cup" (anything that could possibly hold a drink, such as blocks and shapes from her shape sorters (the circles are obviously the best)).
Another thing she likes to do is tease you by almost giving you something and then taking it back - this includes her imaginary items. She also teases you with kisses. You think she's going to kiss you and then she pulls back, or better yet, she doesn't even pucker, she just places her mouth on you and then laughs! She knows what you want the very most are her kisses! Hana Grace is a very particular little girl. I have no idea where she gets that from. *wink wink* She is constantly cleaning my carpet. It takes her forever to climb the stairs because she picks up every little thing on the way. We're talking strings, little crumbs, I don't even know what the stuff is that ends up on the carpet. But if it's there, you can bet Hana will find it - and hand it to you! She is making me very self-conscious about the cleanliness of my floors, and you know how I am!!! She is such a joy to be around and I am so incredibly blessed. I am quite content with just her, but I'd be happy with ten more just like her! It's amazing to watch her grow and learn. Her little brain absorbs EVERYTHING!!! God is great - oh, and so is the slinky!
