Voices In The Night

I have no idea what happened here last night! Around 11:30 sirens started going off and a man's voice echoed through the streets. We aren't in Frisco anymore, Dorothy! LOL At first I thought it was God! I'm sure it was a warning about the weather, but even after stepping outside to try to figure out what was going on we couldn't make out what was being said. What's the point of that? LOL Were we supposed to take cover? We turned on the weather and sleepily tried to make sense of it all. Everything had pretty much passed us. It's not tornado season. Hurricane? No, we don't live by the ocean. Earthquake? Mudslide? Things on fire? Sonic boom? No, that's LA. Sorry, Josh & Angela, I had to say it! I love you!

Anyway, we got our Christmas lights put out yesterday and I think they look really nice. We only decorated the bushes this year, thank goodness. I thought Joe and I were going to end up divorced over putting lights along our roof! LOL He was determined that he was going to get up there and hang lights and I begged and pleaded with him not to. Our new roof is really high and really steep. I told him I did not want to spend the rest of my Christmases with Hana mourning the loss of her Daddy. In the end he says he couldn't get on the roof because he doesn't have a tall enough ladder...I'd like to think all my begging and pleading had a little something to so with it. So anyway, this is what we ended up with and I think it looks beautiful. This is about what the rest of the neighborhood looks like as well, except for the ones that hired someone to hang their lights. I checked into that by they way...$200-$350 just to trim the front of the house in white lights. I don't think so! (not this year anyway! LOL) Next year I'll probably have a bunch of that blow up crap in the yard. I don't get it with that stuff. Yeah, it's cute at night, but during the day it just looks like a bunch of trash sitting in your yard. But I'm sure if Hana wants it, we'll get it!

Now Hana Grace and I are off to do some Christmas shopping. I'm hoping the crowds won't be too bad during the weekdays!

The lights looks beautiful. Don't worry about anyone else. Keeping up with the Jones will surely drive you crazy and put you in the poor house. As for the weather,on my way home last night they broke in with a weather report and said Tornado warning for Mckinney and all of Collin County. Two injuries in Denison.I woke mother up to see if she had heard from you.We learned everything was O.K. Drive-on D.C.

I heard the same thing in Allen, we, Tricia, myself and my two friends nikki and sojo were smoking and drinking beer in the garage, I thought obviously...it cant a hurricane....hahahah but I was concerned myself. Especially at night, hello and I couldn't see a thing...other than hearing the wind blow like crazy and those sirens going off. If there had been a tornado in my area, you know in the big bustling town of allen, texas...on the party street of Rockefeller Lane, then I would have missed it all together. But I had a Beer and my *****, just kidding. Crazy stuff. I agree, never try to keep up with the Jones...it will drive you crazy.

Use that money to buy more BEER...
