As you know, yesterday was Hana Grace's 1st Birthday Party. What a turnout! Just about everyone was able to make it. It's a good thing we had a couple who couldn't make it, because I don't know where we would have put them! LOL As everyone arrived we watched the Cowboy game, which I found fitting because we watched them in the hospital room last year! What can I say? I hope everyone had as good of a time as we did. Hana seems to have had a blast. It took her a while to really dig into her cake, she was being quite a little lady at first. She eventually smashed her hands in it pretty good and even enjoyed a little ice cream before the meltdown. I expected one was on the way. She hadn't had a nap and there was a house full of people staring at her every move. I got her cleaned up, well, as best I could anyway, and she was fine. Her little cake was accented with black icing and it stained her face and hands! It didn't even come off in the bath!!! It's much lighter today, so no worries. She got lots of great gifts which she has been playing with all day. Those who say kids don't "know" things are wrong. She knows exactly which toys are new and which are old. But what can I say, she's also brilliant! I just want to send a BIG THANKS to everyone who was able to make it, and to those who couldn't, you sure missed out on a good time, but we'll see you at her next one!

After all the chaos Hana took a nice long nap in her Daddy's arms.
So now the big party has come and gone, but we still have 2 days to go until she's officially 1! Then we get to see Josh for Thanksgiving and then Christmas we'll be here and we'll get to see Josh, Angela and Duncan! We have lots to look forward to and so much to be thankful for! We have such a wonderful family and we couldn't ask for better friends! Thank you all so much for everything!

HYana certainly loves each new toy!! I can't wait to arrive on Wednesday and watch her play!! Just wait til Josh sees her rock out!
