What's Going On?

I'm sure glad we got our trip to the store out of the way earlier. The wind is blowing like crazy outside! It's trash day so all the trash bins are lined down the street, but I think I just saw one fly by! LOL I'm not joking either! This storm just might make me miss the storm shutters that we had on the old house - that's about all I miss though! And I don't miss them much, they were ugly!

Hana Grace is taking a nice long nap right now. She's been asleep since about 11:30 and it is now 1:45. She's really figured out this new napping schedule.

Not too much is going on this week. Yesterday Christine and little Charles came over for a play date. We had a good visit. He is really growing up fast. I cannot believe he's already 4 months old. Where does the time go? He's rolling over now and making all sorts of noises. His eyes are still that deep beautiful blue I've mentioned before. Friday we're supposed to be going to a pumpkin patch with the rest of the play group. We'll get to pick a pumpkin, feed animals and go on a hay ride! I'll be sure to take my camera along.

I hear Wayne behind me doing his exercises. Now he's taken to climbing up and down the stairs for exercise. More power to him! That's bound to be a better workout than walking back and forth on the patio.

So, I broke down and bought Hana some cheap little shoes at Target. They have a thick sole, which they now say is bad for babies, but I don't have much choice. She has her good, cute shoes, but they just don't go with a whole lot and they're a little too pricey to buy a bunch more. Nordstrom didn't have much to choose from in her size this time. I looked at the ones at Wal Mart everyone told me about. Can anyone answer this for me: Why in the world do the shoes curve upward? Do most babies have elf feet or what? I cannot even get the darned things on her feet! It was the same with most of the shoes at Target, that's why I gave in and bought the thicker soled shoes, her feet fit just fine in them, they have flat bottoms! I don't get it. Are Hana's feet oddly shaped? They sure appear to be normal to me, but they definitely do not fit in those weird elf shoes everybody's selling! So, as I was at Target I got a phone call and the number was withheld. I typically don't answer those calls, but I went ahead picked up. The conversation went a little something like this:

me: "Hello?"

man: "Hey, sexy. How are you doing?"

me: (silence while trying to figure out who's messing with me) "Fine."

man: "Are you going to come over tonight? You know my girl's out of town."

Luckily Hana's doctor's office beeped in and that was a call I had to take. While I was on the phone with them the man eventually hung up and then an unknown number called but I didn't answer that one and they didn't leave a message. Maybe it was the wrong number, I don't know.

Now you're wondering why Hana's doctor's office called, aren't you? I have heard a lot on the news and such about giving kids her age flu shots because the flu can apparently be deadly for them. I called to ask their opinion and they were returning my call. Their answer? Yes. I set the appointments because she will receive it in two doses. Now it's time for her Daddy and me to get ours as well!

I hear Hana...TTYL!

I don't know why they make the shoes to curve up at the toe, it is natural for the child to turn their foot downward when you try to put the shoe on their feet...believe me I know from both Josh and you!! Thank you sooooooooooooooo much for the videos....they make my day!
