How did we acquire so much junk? Ask Mom, I'm pretty good at throwing stuff away, but we still have so much stuff! Maybe we haven't outgrown this house. The more I get rid of, the bigger the house becomes! The new house is going to seem like a mansion once I get rid of all this crap and we move in! I tell you what though, we're going to be having one heck of a garage sale. I debated on having one because I wasn't sure if we would have enough to sell to make it worth our while...LOL!!! Now that I've got the fever, practically everything we own is going in that garage sale. Ask Mom about when I "get the fever." I went down to her house years ago to help her spring clean and I almost convinced her to throw out everything she owned. That's me! Once I start cleaning it's hard for me to stop! I'd love to be able to throw everything out every couple of years and start all over.
I did come across something interesting amidst all this cleaning. I opened a Battle of the Sexes board game my parents got us years ago to make sure there wasn't any old score cards in it or anything because, of course, I'm putting it in the garage sale (LOL). I didn't find any old score cards, but I did find a little something titled "Caroling at the Creek." Our book of Christmas carols from back in the good old days, BH (Before Hana)! I found two of them. Remember those drunken Christmas Eves when we would light candles and horribly attempt to serenade the neighbors? Joe was always half a beat behind everyone else and it used to piss me off so bad. We even drunk-carolled the night Joe proposed. I never even realized he was uncharacteristically enthusiastic about opening gifts that year. We sure have fun when we're all together! All this reminiscing takes me back a couple years ago when I went "skydiving" in the garage. I still made the best mac & cheese ever though! Some of you are really confused right now, but those that were there are laughing their butts off right now! Good times (and many more to come).
Y'all be safe and stay away from Ike. I'm sure glad Victoria and Wayne got the heck out of Galveston!

You were the drunken hostess for the first Christmas Eve at your new home??? We immediately decided to have the next one back at the Clark's home in Tool...just to be safe, and then I think you dropped the bowl of rotel-cheese dip all down the front of my new oven...while I sat on Goofrey?? am I confused...Thank God for Hana...she has sobered me up!
Holy crap...LOL! Yes, I poured Rotel dip down the front of your shiny new stove. Jennifer helped me clean it up while you sat on Goofrey. Then you and I laid on the kitchen floor while Josh took pictures of us. Where are those pictures? Hopefully someone burned them!
Yes, Hana straightened me up the most. I've drank enough Kettle One and soda (with lemon) in my lifetime to fill the Pacific Ocean. I'm wiser now, but I still don't regret a thing! Good times. (I'm trying to make "Good times" my "drive on")
drive onward and outward.
