Yup, a Swiss chef is taking the local food concept to a new level. He is recruiting volunteers, local lactating moms, to sell their breastmilk to be used in sauces at Storchen restaurant. For about $5 a pint mothers can share their liquid gold with a whole new audience.
According to the UK Telegraph, the restaurant owner, Hans Locher, says he started experimenting with breast milk after his daughter was born. Apparently he found the winning combination with whipped cream and up to 75% breastmilk and put it on the menu.
