Where Does the Day Go?

I'm sorry. I didn't realize it had been so long since I last blogged. Let's see. Thursday we had our play date and we did some grocery shopping afterward. Friday we did a little clothes shopping, and Saturday we had a friend's 30th birthday party to attend. That's about it. I guess it doesn't sound like much, but it's kept us pretty busy!

The party was a great time. We got to send Kent (the birthday boy), and we haven't seen him in a very long time. We finally got to meet his wife. She was a joy to be around and quite the hostess if I might add. Their home is absolutely beautiful! We got to see plenty of other people too. Baby Charles made his debut and I think he did pretty darn well. The next time I see Chris I'll ask her how irritated she was that everyone kept asking her if he is a boy or a girl. She had him in a Polo onesie. Definitely a boy in my opinion. She smiled and happily told everyone he is a boy, but she's a lot like me in that way, I know she was fuming on the inside. I've never really thought about having a boy and dealing with that. My solution for Hana is to put a bow on her head and people can figure it out, although Joe and I have been asked that very question when Hana was wearing a frilly headband. What can I say?! LOL We got to see the Rippetoes, the Caves, and a variety of other Chi Phis. I even got to see some old pics of the frat boys from back in the day. My, how far they have all come! I love it when we all get together like that and the guys reminisce. I must admit I'm a bit envious that I don't have any long-term friends like that. Girls are just different, I suppose. That, and I get tired of being the only one making an effort and give up. LOL! For the most part, the best friends I have are all through Joe, so I can't complain about that! We've got some really great friends.

I'm glad to hear Mom's finally feeling better. She had to use a patch for motion sickness when we flew to Cali and she ended up having withdrawals from it when she took it off. Bless her heart. She can't win for losing. I hope that's not what my future holds, but I'm afraid it is. I rode in the back seat of the car with Hana for a bit yesterday and I was about ready to vomit before we got to our destination. We did, however, meet the Mexican version of Bradley yesterday. We had lunch at one of our favorite Restaurants, Manny's, and our waiter was the Mexican version of Brad. The way he spoke, the way he held his head when he spoke, the way he interacted with Hana Grace. Everything about him, except his height, was dead-on Brad! They say we all have a twin, who would've guessed that Brad's is a Hispanic guy working at Manny's?

I'm also glad to hear that Nana is feeling better. When we were in Cali she got ahold of a bad jalapeno and it made her pretty darn sick. But she's feeling lots better from what I understand.

Today should be a wonderful, lazy day. Joe and Dave are hitting some golf balls right now and I think Victoria might be by later. Other than that the plan is to do nothing and I'm looking forward to it!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Sounds like you all had a good time yesterday...I am not going to take my medication this afternoon to see if I can exist without being dizzy and sick to my stomach! I need to go see Nana, too, but have not felt like it! Gramps and I sure do miss Hana Grace....she stole our hearts on the trip to California....We miss you and Joe, too! but Hana is the "Big Show!"
I wish I were there right now, holding her...Tell her Gramps and I said HELLO.... with your hand up in the air so she will know that it is from Grammy and Gramps!! She will understand!!
Love you all..XXOOOXOXXO
