Well, I'm beat this evening. Hana Grace had yet another difficult night last night. She went down just fine but awoke at 1:00 am screaming. I would get her calmed down and put her back in her crib and it would start all over again. I repeated this for about 2 hours before I shamefully gave up and brought her to bed with me. I know, I know. I'm spoiling her rotten. I can hear Nana now. But I even struggled with her once we got in my bed. It has to be teething, right? She was a fussy butt all day long. Even as I type I can hear her in there fussing to her daddy. Bless her heart. My friend, Annie, suggested I get Hyland's homeopathic teething tablets. I looked them up online and they get rave reviews. I have given her one dose so I cannot testify just yet. I also bought this weird thing that looks like a pacifier with a mesh tongue. You can put food in the mesh part so the baby can chew on it without the risk of choking. I thought to put a frozen slice of peach in it so she can teeth on it. AMAZING! Man, I'm good. I scare myself sometimes! She absolutely loved it! Joe even put an ice cube it in and let her chew on that. I know she's teething because she's content when she's chewing on something, especially if that something is really cold. I might as well throw away the Baby Orajel. It does not seem to help one bit. If anyone has any helpful advice on what to do for a teething baby that won't sleep straight through the night, please leave me a comment. I'll take all the help I can get! =)
Also, I decided that I was going to go back to making Hana's baby food. I bought some organic chicken, which I paid way too much for rationalized it in my brain because it was going to make a lot of baby food, and would still end up being cheaper than buying a bunch of jars of baby food. I bought organic chicken breasts and baked them in the oven and grinded them to a nice consistency so that she could still have a little something to mash with her gums. It smelled so good (much better than that jarred crap) and I was so excited to feed it to her this evening. She gagged, cried, screamed and spit it out. It was such a dramatic performance I thought it must be too hot even though I had already checked it, so I checked again. It was warm, not hot. I gave her another bite - same reaction. I have never received a reaction quite like this from her. She usually eats whatever I give her. She does have her favorites and it's clear when something is not preferred, but she always eats it. Well, not this. I mixed it with her green beans and she still fought eating it. What the crap? LOL I have 12 containers of this stuff! She's going to have to learn to love it!
So, that sums up today in WaaWee World. There's always tomorrow. It's only a day away!

HANG IN THERE WAA WEE. TEETHING IS A LONG PROCESS. I ALWAYS GAVE MY KIDS SOMETHING COLD. THEY SEEM TO LIKE THAT. GUESS IT SORT OF FREEZES THE GUMS. ABOUT THE CHICKEN THING, I HAD TO LAUGH. WITH ALL THOSE CONTAINERS SHE SHOULD END UP LIKING IT SOONER OR LATER. I KNOW HIS SOUNDS GROSS, BUT MIX IT IN WITH SOME FRUIT, MAYBE THAT WOULD HELP. CAN'T WAIT TILL THE NEXT BLOG.
