Sorry it's been a while. I've been busy busy! Baylee left just this morning after a fun-filled couple of days. We didn't do much, just sat around and stared at Hana really! I hope she had a good time. I sure enjoyed her company and she helped out a lot. She's welcome back any time. I think I might have changed only 2 or 3 diapers since Thursday! Hana Grace really warmed up to her. She woke Baylee up every morning with her bright, cheerful smile. Some day way, way far away from now, I'm talking at least 15 years from now Baylee will make a great mommy. She's much more nurturing than I ever thought of being when I was 12 years old. I think that has something to do with me being the baby of the family and never really being around anyone younger than me, much less an infant. I did clean out my closet and gave her tons of my old clothes. You know, all the pre-pre-baby clothes. The ones that I never want to give to Goodwill in hope that I will some day fit into them. Well, I've given up on that pipe dream! LOL No, but honestly, it was a lot of my more childish attire that it was definitely time to get rid of: a Rainbow Brite Tee, Paul Frank Tees, and some more trendy type things. I figure I'm a mommy now, so even if I get to my ideal weight, I should dress a little more mommyish. Whatever that means. LOL
Jenn Ellen came over last night and I think she got some good pics of Hana, Baylee and me. So be on the lookout for the new pics to be posted to her blog. I haven't even seen them yet! We had a good time. Jenn and Baylee ran to Taco Bueno and they have an interesting story that I'll let Jenn share with you on her blog. (I'm sure she will) I consider myself more of a Bell girl than a Bueno girl (that's Taco Bell, Taco Bueno for you zoners...LOL), but I thoroughly enjoyed my mexi dip and chips and muchaco. We talked a lot and watched some TV. Jenn introduced me to one of my new favorite shows House Hunters International. I tell you though, I don't know about Jenn, but I kept having to remind myself that Baylee is only 12. She can carry on a great conversation and you forget quite easily that she's as young as she is!
On another note...Joe's home! I don't think Hana could have smiled any bigger than she did when she saw her daddy today! He was gone for two very long days! We missed him very much! I'm glad Baylee was here to keep me busy because I don't like being apart from him. And since daddy's home, grandpa is too! I haven't actually seen him yet, he's tuckered out from all the moving and traveling so he's been napping with Pagan. (Hana and I were napping when they got here so they snuck in. It was a very nice surprise to wake up and moments later Joe walked through the bedroom door!)
So that's that. I've pretty much summed up the past couple of days. I did, however, leave out the gigantic 9x9 hole that was dug in my yard and filled with dirt by the City and how they've dug our entire street up and you have to maneuver between the orange cones to get to my house thus making it next to impossible to even get in and out of my driveway which would be annoying rather than devastating if we weren't getting ready to put our house on the market...but I don't think I'm going to get into all of that right now. I'll save it for another day when it all builds up inside of me and I need to vent. Hopefully it will and be fixed and perfected before that even has a chance of happening...I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Have a spectacular evening and weekend! TTFN
