These Shoes Were Made For Walkin'

We survived another 4th of July in the Zone! As always, we had a wonderful visit. We were able to stay longer than we usually do, but it still didn't seem long enough! Hana and I visited Mom at work, we all played Cranium (which is always a hit), we ate delicious food, and Joe and Brad put on a firework display. The city never put out a "No Fireworks" sign this year, so it was on! It was louder this year than ever before. Well, except for that time we went to the boat ramp over by the bridges. I don't know if anything will ever top that experience! I was very little, but I remember fearing for my life! This year the fireworks were exploding in all directions one after another. There was never a break, it just kept going and going and going. Hana Grace loved the fireworks! I made sure to give her "earmuffs" for the loud ones, even though the explosions didn't bother her in the least. I did get a bit scared when Brad and Joe put an entire box of bottle rockets into the bonfire. Hana and I took cover for that one! Jenn was able to take some great pics of it though! Even though it was such a wonderful time there was obviously a cloud of gloom lurking overhead: Josh and Angela were not present. It's just not the same without them!

Since we've been back, Hana has experimented more with walking. She holds onto the couch now and cruises back and forth. Her favorite trick, however, is still letting go and trying to balance. I have done some investigating into good baby shoes for beginner walkers and came across Pedipeds. Check out the website http://www.pedipeds.com/. They have won all types of awards and are recommended by podiatrists. Supposedly the best thing for a new walker is being barefoot or wearing only socks. This allows the feet to grow naturally. But for those times when the baby can't walk around barefoot, Pedipeds are supposed to be the next best thing. I read several reviews and everyone seems to give these shoes 5 stars. So ,of course, Hana had to have some!
They sell them at Nordstrom, so Joe, Hana and I took a trip to the mall today. We bought Hana two pairs...They are so cute! She loves them!
