It's Almost the Weekend!

Well, it's Thursday, which is one of my most favorite days of the week. I'm usually happy all day on Thursdays because I know Friday is just around the corner, and then comes the best day of all - Saturday!

Hana Grace and I just returned from Target. Yet again I have ordered pictures of Hana in mass quantities! I was thinking how every time I order pictures of Hana, Jennifer should receive a check in the mail. Flickr and Target should pay her for giving them business! This time around I ordered pics from the two most recent sets: last Friday and the 4th. I pick my faves and order doubles so I can send some to Hana's Granny in Tennessee. I usually get my Mom on the phone when I place my order so I can get her the ones she wants since there is no Target in the Creek Zone, but this time I picked for her...she doesn't know it yet!

As always Miss Hana was a hit at Target. Everyone always smiles when they see her, but many also stop to say hi and tell me how beautiful she is. The count for today was three plus our checker. Although checkers don't really count, I feel it's part of their job to make small talk with the customers. I bought Hana a new type of baby food: Mac & Cheese! I figure I LOVE macaroni & cheese, so I should let her try some. It's not organic though. I haven't been making her baby food for about a month because she's eating 2nds now, and that's a lot of mixed veggies and fruits and stuff. It's just not realistic that I would be making pears and blueberries or mixed vegetables with brown rice. I try to stick to just the organic stuff, but sometimes there's just not a big variety. When that happens I make sure to at least buy the foods with DHA. (That makes me feel better! LOL) But the mac & cheese I bought her today is just the plain old stuff but it was only like 68 cents. At 8 months I'm going to start her on meats and I plan to make that for her like I did the fruits & veggies in the beginning. And soon I'll be able to just give her whatever we're having!

Why is it that every time I go anywhere I end up buying clothes for my daughter? Would it be like this if she were a boy? I am a bargain hunter, I usually don't buy anything that's not on clearance unless it's just absolutely to die for! I was able to get her two tank tops and a pair of shorts for under $2 each! I was also able to find her some pajamas for 9 months. I paid full price for them because they are near impossible to find for her age! She doesn't have much as far as pajamas are concerned, I usually just put her in comfy pants and a long-sleeved onesie with socks (since I keep my house so cold). She's going to be growing out of that stuff real soon, so I knew I should get these while I could. She has three of the sack-like gowns that will fit for a while longer, but she's not crazy about them. She can't use her feet very well when they're all sacked up and the first thing she does when she wakes in the morning is crawl to the side of the crib and stand up.

I've also been preparing for our trip to LA to see Josh & Angela. I've already started making my packing list and have a schedule set for the plane ride. Yes, it's a month away, but you know me! I feel much better when there's a plan I can at least loosely abide by. I'm getting so excited and sad at the same time. That's just me though. I'm so looking forward to it that I realize it will be here and gone before I know it. I can't wait for them to see Hana! I wish she would be walking by then so she could walk up to them at the airport! (It could happen!) So as far as the plane ride is concerned, I read how it's good breastfeed or give a bottle or sippy cup during take off and landing to help with the ears popping. That's good to know. I had been wondering about that. We can chew gum, but a baby can't. If anyone has any other travel advice, I would sure like to hear it. I'm open to suggestions!

I hear Hana, so she must be awake now. It's time to feed her too. TTFN!
