Wow. How do I even follow that spectacular blentry (blog entry) by Joseph? He seems to have a knack for blogging, doesn't he? I will encourage him to start his own (maybe a "Jog" - Joe blog) and he is more than welcome to be a recurring guest on my blog. Maybe this will no longer be my blog, maybe it could become our blog. Or maybe not, we'll have to see.
So the rest of the story went a little something like this...
I picked Hana up out of her high chair and gave her a great big hug only to realize that my arms were now wet. As strange as that may sound, it's not odd for that to happen these days. It seems as though Miss Hana has problems drinking from her sippy cup now that she has teeth. She can make quite the mess nowadays. With every drink she takes she seems to spit some out, thus creating a wet lap which can lead to wet everything else. After realizing my arms were wet, I naturally look back at the seat of her high chair to find it has a puddle of greenish brown doodoo water in it. I look back at my arms and realize that they too have greenish brown doodoo water on them. - This is still okay with me. I have yet to enter panic mode. - As I pull Hana away from my sweet embrace to clean her up I realize that poop has squished out of the front of her diaper and is all over my shirt. What do I do? How do I even begin to clean this up? There is poop all over me. As Joe took Hana out of my arms I stood there in shock asking, "What do I do now?" If I pull the shirt over my head I'll get doodoo in my hair and it's already all over my arms! After about a 30 second freak out session I pulled myself together and was able to clean myself up enough to help Joe with Hana's situation, and quite a situation that had become. I'll never know why he thought the solution to our problem would be to take Hana's diaper off in the kitchen sink, but he did. So now he's gagging because there's doodoo in the kitchen sink...LOL! I grabbed the baby wipes, wiped off as much doodoo off of her as I could and went and got in the shower with her. I fixed the problem! When I was done cleaning her up Joe came and got her from me and proceeded to dry her off and lather her in baby lotion. I emerged from the shower to find Joe running hot water into the kitchen sink (he did that for about 10 minutes). Then I had to clean the high chair and spray everything with disinfectant (I love Clorox's new everywhere spray, by the way). And that, ladies and gents, is the conclusion to our craptastic Saturday morning.
Is it normal for babies to poop out the front of their diapers? That seems to be Hana's favorite. Sometimes it's so bad that I check her for doodoo and don't think there's any there until I look in the front of her diaper and there it all is! This seems to only happen when she's sitting, so I assume the seated position has something to do with it.
And, no, I guess Hana Grace is not a fan of Banana Peach Granola...
Have a craptastic day!
