Live From Los Angeles

We got to see Josh & Angela last night! Josh & I (well, actually Joe) set up our web cams last night and they work! It's really cool! We got to sit at the computer and look at Josh while we talked to him, we got to see Angela, too! Of course Hana didn't quite grasp what was going on, but over time I think she will. Josh & I played around with the web cams a bit and were able to send each other pics and songs back and forth while we chatted. It's really neat! We could hear each other, although it did seem like they were talking to us from outer space. The feed dragged a bit, but it was much cooler than talking on the phone. We were also able to instant message back and forth while we talked. I know, it was a lot going on, but it was a lot of fun! We have a date to chat again today and I'm looking forward to it!

So Hana Grace had squash for the first time today. She liked it. I've been very fortunate with her experience with food so far, I hope it continues. To recap: she's had green beans, peas, carrots, and now squash. Next we'll try sweet potatoes and then it's on to fruits! It's so exciting! I think there's something to be said about introducing the foods slowly and one at a time, it's been beneficial for us.

Annie gave me a bottle of this stuff called Gripe Water. I had never heard of it before, and I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about giving it to Hana since I didn't know what it was. But I did a little research and found out that it's for acidity and indigestion and is safe for infants. The kind she gave me is made in India and it is awesome! I read that there is also an American kind, but it was recently recalled due to ecoli...GREAT! But this stuff works wonders. Hana spits up a lot. I guess it's normal, the doctor seems to think so, but the more I'm around other babies I realize they don't spit up as much as she does. Dr. Nail doesn't think it's infant acid reflux, but I am a sufferer of acid reflux myself, so I know how miserable it is. Not that I've diagnosed her myself or anything. But anyway, Annie gave me a bottle of this stuff, Woodward's Gripe Water, and it works miracles. I haven't even given Hana the full dosage for her age. I just give her a teaspoonful of it in the morning and she doesn't spit up for the rest of the day. Thank you, Annie! I owe you!

Check out this super cute outfit. I've been sorting through Hana's 6 month clothes and unfortunately there are a LOT of winter clothes. But Mom got her a couple of long-sleeved T-shirts that are really thin. It's okay for her to wear them in our 68 degree house! They are just way too cute! Here she is in what is now my most favorite outfit yet. Luckily, I was able to take these pics before she spit up all over it. (Then I gave her a tsp of gripe water!) Is this a "Courtney Outfit" or what?! Yes, it's pink and brown and has butterflies on it. And yes, it's made to look like a shirt over a long-sleeved shirt. Cute, cute, cute!

She's crazy about juice!
